Green and white? by inthecloud5

Green and white?

I wasn't really surprised to find that this is called a green veined white butterfly!

We went wandering about some country lanes in Cumbria this afternoon, found a Roman settlement, a 12th century church, a nice tearoom and a field full of dandelion seedheads with butterflies flitting about. This one seemed quite happy to pose for a shot.
Your day sounds idyllic and with no hurry or busyness! An unusual butterfly!

Great find, first glance you would think it was just a normal white, till you see that underside.
