Media City sundown

Went to Manchester today on a photo workshop with some other members of the camera club.

It's quite a while since I've been around the city centre so was surprised to see how much interesting modern architecture there was, even on a dull day it looked good! The sun came out as we were heading to Media City at Salford Quays for some early evening shots, so we got some great light on the buildings. Will definitely be back here for another photography session soon :)

My children are weary of me telling everyone the long (but, I think, funny) story of us taking a canal boat through Manchester. It was a very different experience and, I would agree, the City really has been transformed. This captures the new mood very well.
