Definitely a Damselfly by inthecloud5

Definitely a Damselfly

I had a couple of hours at the Botanical Gardens and found a patch of wild flowers that was attracting lots of insects.

I thought identifying this damselfly would be easy but when I looked at the British Dragonfly Society website there were lots of damselflies that looked almost the same! I need to do some more research to be sure but I think it's a common blue.
Lovely

Yes definitely a damselfly. The difference between a damselfly and a dragonfly is that dragonflies hold their wings perpendicular like an aeroplane when resting.
