I discovered this week that there's a subspecies of the starling on Shetland. It has a slightly larger bill than the common starling, I probably wouldn't have noticed the difference if I'd not read about it though!
This one was taking food to the young in the nest in a wall, couldn't see them but they had no problem making themselves heard!
No need to comment, filling gaps from our holiday.
