Every time I climb this hill I retake this photo, it would be shame not to. I'm sure everyone else does too but pictures taken from the Rest and Be Thankful are way more popular.
It's the road you take to get to Kintyre but it's nearer Arrochar and Loch Lomond at this point. It was open the other day but it has traffic lights and a team on standby to divert traffic via the old military road if the weather is really bad.
You can see the old miltary road in the bottom of the valley. It was upgraded a few years ago to take diverted traffic but it's still just a single track so traffic as to go through in convoys.
