standing tall

I have been finding photo inspiration very hard to come by , so this is a phone shot . I'm working with a drama group on Martin McDonnagh's play "The Cripple of Innismeann" which we perform in front of a local audience in 2 weeks before going on to a professional theater ,6 performances in total. It's my first time on stage at the age of 56 so it's been a huge learning curve , but a really rewarding one . I had never met any of the cast of 9 or 4 crew before the first read through, so we are getting to know each other as people and as characters . This is near our rehearsal space snapped on a break. last Monday, which was a bank holiday here so we had a complete run through. Lots of work needed but our Director feels we are on track. I feel like a duck in a pond all calm above the water but paddeling furiously below the surface..
Congratulations on the play a great thing to do at any age. I don't know if it's the case in Ireland, but in England it's bad luck to wish an actor 'good luck' before going on stage - instead they say “Break a leg"... in France they say "Merde"!

As for the image, I love it... but hate the film gimmick!

Well good luck to you! I have read about the play and it doesn't sound like the easiest of dramas to appear in, let alone to make your debut. Hope it all goes well, and no harm in putting the photography on the back burner for a while.

@vignouse I am finding new things to picture of late Richard , so stopped using the camera only the phone . I like all those apps and filters that cast a different slant on the everyday, To me it can be a fun way to use photography as a diary . I like Merde, as a salute , I wish I payed more attention in french class in school , I would love to be able to hold a conversation in it. The first I went to france would be in the early 80's where I met a local girl in Betune , I asked her how to order 2 drinks and she told me to say "deux belle femme de mouche" needles to say the barman ignored me.
