Books from my youth, fantasy books, art books, cook books, fiction and some travel books on top....
We are preparing for our holiday to Italy at the end of the month.
I've been trying to get a copy of Skallagrig to re-read, just re-read his two eagle books. Can't follow Jamie's recipes, not nigella, too much of a Delia fan I am I think?! Nailed the word of the day
@30pics4jackiesdiamond Oh wow, another Horwood fan. I have the eagle books too, But Skallagrig is his best book I find... Nigella is fun to watch on tv and to read,
I merely use her list of ingrediënts. Some of Jamie’s recipes I follow as gospel but others I only use as light reading (Joke) Delia’s books are great especially her christmas book!
@quietpurplehaze That’s a great way to get an original ‘Hazel’s Recipes - all the recipes you will ever need’. Also a lot less costly than those cooking books.........but i’m a bit addicted to them 😏

Fascinating stack of books! I can't quite bring myself to own a Kindle yet.......although I agree it is better for travel. I just read one or two books very slowly on holiday.....!!
@jacqbb I have had to move mostly to audio books as I can 'read' while gardening/mowing and driving etc. but I have all my best 'friends' on bookshelves and love the feel of them :)
Lots of beautiful places to visit in Italy. To me it is the most beautiful country in the whole world. Lovely shot. I like reading, too, but very often after I read a page or two I fall asleep.
@casablanca Thank you so much for your comment, if we are camping we mostly have a few hours in the afternoon just for relaxing.....reading for me and in a fortnight I read easely 10 books.
@koalagardens Thanks Katrina, It is so nice the have those, being busy with your hands while hearing a good story, especially when they are told by a good actor.
@sangwann Thank you so much Dione. Just a little more than a fortnight and we are going by train to Italy, first stop Como then Perugia, i try to post as soon have WiFi.

I don’t really have one as most of my recipes are taken from newspapers amd magazines, whatever takes my fancy!
