Go!
Just about to take off.
I played with faster speeds today trying to get bird shots without blur. I managed to get rid of the blur but am struggling with dark shots (and I still haven't taken in RAW mode). I played with ISO, aperture and still wasn't able to conquer my light issue. It was a dark and gloomy day so maybe that didn't help.
Anyway - I had to darken the background even more to make this little sparrow visible.
It is really nice and sharp, and I love that about-to-take-off posture! I have issues when I do really high shutter speeds too--the shots either have t get darker or the ISO has to do up (unless it's nice and sunny)
@swilde - Thanks Sue. It's really fun when it clicks (ha - no pun intended) - will be thrilled when I figure out the lighting issue. @anwan - Thanks Anwan. I did play with the ISO - even when I turned it up to 3200 it was dark) - so I will have to read up. @mamamia - Thanks Joanne.
Really fabulous shot Jan, and I think the dark background really works. It's tricky taking bird shots in low light, I had the same problem today and had all my settings not at their best just to get a half decent shot.
@anwan - Thanks Anwan. I did play with the ISO - even when I turned it up to 3200 it was dark) - so I will have to read up.
@mamamia - Thanks Joanne.
@jo13 - Thanks so much, Jo - you made me feel better about my low light shooting. It really is a challenge.
