Pine Siskin by jankoos

Pine Siskin

First sighting of the year - this was taken out the window so I was happy it wasn't fuzzy - I had to be quick - they are shy.
Ghastly wet day - poured without a break until 430pm - I cut up some fabric for a quilt I am making, and dashed out with umbrella but not much to brag about.......just waterlogged blossoms.
Nice capture! Looks happy that spring has finally sprung.

That's a great pose, showing off the patterns of its feathers as well as the big leaves already uncurling from your shrubs! I'm out where the birds are, but I left my zoom lens in the city :( Some different woodpeckers showed up yesterday, too.
