Can you stand another Mt Rainier view? It's what August is about for us! This is at Glacier View - I wanted to go to Panorama Point, but from this trail we would have had to cross the ice field and I didn't want to do that with lightweight hiking sandals on. We will take a stab at Panorama Point this coming weekend. It's a little over three miles each way but the way up is all uphill. Do you see the hikers off to the left - a long line of them.

Fav! What a glorious shot! I'm near Mt. Ranier right now, as a matter of fact! Will see it first thing in the morning as I leave Vashon Island on the ferry to Seattle.
Beautiful scene please keep on posting shots for us to enjoy. I can't see the line of hikers (even when viewed large) but I'm picking up my new glasses next week so that should help!!)

@princessliz@pamknowler - thanks for the lovely comments. I am not very fit but trying very hard to get there. Overweight and a decade of cancer surgeries/treatment behind me (I hope - LOL) - we just take it slowly. Most of the people we see at the higher elevations are younger than us and very fit but we also regularly run into a couple in their early 80's.
Wonderful capture, so much of interest in the capture, the hikers, the rocky path, the mountain beyond. Good eye. And congrats on the three PPs, you deserve them.
Oh my this is breathtaking!!! Are these day hikes or were you back packing? Such a wonderful adventure. I never tire of seeing these....FAV..of course!
@eyesmile - thanks for the fav, Gena. We went on a day hike - we work full time but I am trying to get into shape so we have been hiking the mountain as much as possible - we try and go three times a week.

This is so gorgeous! I wish I could hike here. I see the hikers easily. Since you asked I thought there must be another tiny line if them way in the left. But no. Haha
@espyetta - thanks MaryBeth - I think it's hard to see the hikers even when viewed large here. Besides the three in the foreground there are nine others I counted. To the right a third or so down. :-)
