Sorry if I am making you crazy with so many Mt Rainier pics. This is the raw image version of this one - http://365project.org/jankoos/where-i-live/2013-08-23 - from a couple of days ago - which do you like best? I cropped and saturated a bit but the RAW version is so much more pleasing to me.
Taken 25 August
Thanks for the favs and lovely comments - this made PP.
This one almost looks like the one you processed -- with vignette and deeper colors. I do like this one a lot, but also like the brighter version that fills the frame more.
The web address doesn't take you back to the other one but I found it in your other album. I do like this one better - it has a deeper and more magic quality to it!
@maggiemae - oopsie - I updated the link - I moved some pics around. Thanks Maggiemae! @taffy - Thanks Taffy. Now wondering if I should have left some of the people in it, too, just to show the expanse of the mountain.
@mamamia@kathyladley@eyesmile@espyetta - Thanks so much for the favs on the Lenticular Cloud - I love these clouds - they are so fun to capture. MaryBeth - I will need to post another for your kids - I call it Mt Rainier's hat. Lenticular cloud sitting right on top.
Hard to say . It is easier to see he details in the other but there is something about this one that is appealing too! I like the dark intense colors in this one.
FAV! Stunning capture. I love this one, too. Amazing the difference between RAW and jpg. I didn't think it would be so striking. This is truly amazing though. Great shot, Jan!
@pflaume - thanks so much, Lisa - I have been been shooting in RAW and jpg - gobbles up memory on my sandisks - but I want to learn how to edit the RAW images. It really is amazing how much difference there is.
Thanks for the fav! @teamquavers@38dcmoder@willowdragon@susale@chrissieh@steampowered@paulaw - wow - thanks for all the favs on my lenticular cloud. They are pretty unique to mountain ranges I believe and we often have spectacular cloud cover. I am not always in the right place at the right time though and was so thrilled to see this.
@gizathecat - Thanks Lydia - interesting isn't it - I shoot in RAW and jpg - amazing how different they are. Both have a wee bit of saturation and crop - but no other editing. @luvmynynix - thanks for the fav, Laurie. @daisyjuds@libertylady@tremerryn - thanks for the lovely comments on my lenticular cloud.
Wow!! I can't decide jan!! I think this one seems to make the cloud look like its more magical but I really like the detail in the other one too!! Both are awesome!
@nanderson - thanks Nancy - hopefully you will see clouds like that when we go up to Rainier - there usually is some kind of cool cloud activity over the mountain. :-)
@taffy - Thanks Taffy. Now wondering if I should have left some of the people in it, too, just to show the expanse of the mountain.
Thanks for the fav!
