Not more lenticular clouds you say! This is for MaryBeth @espyetta for her kids who are learning about clouds.
This may be the last lenticular cloud for now - it's raining and good weather not expected at Mt Rainier for the next week or so.
Taken on Sunday - nothing I took today was good enough to put up (except the dog in my other album).
@rach_who@anazad511@gizathecat@mamamia@photo_mum@pflaume - thanks for the lovely comments. In this area Mt Rainier is known for lenticular cloud formation. In the fall, sometimes you can see them stacked. Hoping to get that lucky with my camera in the next months. @princessleia - thanks for the wonderful comments and fav, Leia. So appreciated.
Wonderful capture! The clouds do look like a white cap! So interesting too - I hope you see them stacked and can show us! Always learning something new on 365! Beautiful shot of the mountain!
Oh wait! So when you posted this in August, you had tagged me because of the clouds? And I did not see it ( being worked to death at school) and then I just did see your collage in Feb. and asked if you'd posted the one shot? That is freaky wild! I am sorry I missed your initial tag to me and the students! So sorry! Lenticular clouds. Never heard of them. This is gorgeous! I will show my kids...we will be reviewing clouds/weather before the "big test" at year's end.
@espyetta - no worries Mary Beth - it's easy to miss replies because we only see a few at a time. I think at the time you were talking about clouds - lenticulars tend to happen over mountain ranges and are super cool. Sometimes they are stacked like smoke rings.
@princessleia - thanks for the wonderful comments and fav, Leia. So appreciated.
