In 1901, construction of Rossland’s present Post Office, the fifth in Rossland’s history, began under the direction of Thomas Bradbury. The ground floor is constructed from granite blocks. The second story is constructed from brick. The third story and Gothic roof were destroyed by the March 1929 fire. This fire not only destroyed the post office's upper floor, it severely damaged the building and destroyed the rest of the block of buildings. An old photo of the post office, featuring the third floor, can be found here - http://www.waymarking.com/gallery/image.aspx?f=1&guid=cbd345e5-0c0d-41a2-a014-55786d722215
