I managed to find some information about this old mine site. It operated from 1966 to 1972 producing 6 million pounds of molybdenum sulphide concentrate from a series of 9 open pits on the west slope of Red Mountain. Molybdenum is primarily used to make many types of steel alloys, including high strength alloys and superalloys.
