Yes, under the clear blue skies and 75°F (24°C) temperature of Southern California, we still have outdoor skating rinks that are set up in winter (this one in Pershing Square) and school holidays had the young folks out to enjoy the "winter wonderland". I am not a skater (the first time I went ice skating I ended up falling on top of my friend and breaking his leg), but it's fun to watch novice skaters. probably used to hanging out at the beach, gripping the rails, venturing out, and discovering that it's not as hard as it seems.
