I went to the Crystal Run 5K Friday to practice my panning technique for the first time with runners. I have several examples where the background is more blurred, but I picked this because she seems to radiate joy. At this point, the light was getting low and I was so glad to catch this shot. I did not crop this at all.
Good choice, Joan...from a large field of good panning shots of this race. The bright colors accent the joy, the muted blur of the other runners frames it....
