Marla's Chicken by jbritt

Marla's Chicken

About 30 Babes on Bikes met at Marla's farm in Marshall, VA, on this gorgeous Monday in May. Meg couldn't ride, so she stayed at the farm and painted while the rest of us biked. A few rode a 20 mile route and a few rode a 45 mile route, but most of us rode about 33 miles. All routes were hilly with beautiful scenery. And the weather was perfect. After riding, we feasted on a pot-luck lunch. Marla's farm is amazing, and we are all very grateful that she shares it with us for this ride--it's one of my favorites, and I look forward to it every year.

Marla and Peter have chickens and a peacock that roam around freely during the day. A few photographers captured the peacock displaying his feathers, but he wouldn't preen for me. I got several interesting shots of him, but I like this photo of the chicken the best.
Another nice one!
