Bethesda Babes

Three of us Babes on Bikes rode to Bethesda this hot morning. While we rested in the shade near Barnes & Noble, we saw these babes in strollers. You can see my new blue tire on the left of this shot.

When I started this 365 project, my son said I was wasting my time taking more then one photo per day since I only need one for the project. I usually take quite a few and spend a long time picking my favorite. Today was probably the closest I've come to taking only one photo per day--I took seven and had two that I was choosing between: babies or boots. Not a terribly difficult choice.

But the boots are kind of interesting as well. They are the rubber knee-high boots that look very strange to me, but seem to be fashionable at least for college students. I first saw them last September at Harvard. Young women wear them in perfectly dry weather even though they look like they are made for splashing in puddles. They caught my eye and I photographed them in Harvard Square, and tonight I shot them in Costco.
