We biked over 35 miles in the heat today. On the way home, when it was probably 95 degrees, Nadine stopped at a water fountain and soaked her head.
I've seen her do this before, but this is the first time I've had my camera to capture it. She felt a lot cooler for the rest of the ride home. She has encouraged me to try it several times and I'm sure it would be cooler especially with the bike-generated breeze, but somehow wet hair doesn't sound appealing to me even in the heat.
Yeah. I bike in the heat. If I didn't, then I'd either have to get up REALLY early or quit biking in the summer. It gets a little easier after I'm acclimated to the heat. Today it is dry and cool again like spring is supposed to be. And tomorrow we have an even longer ride planned.
