Fuddruckers

Friday night I met some friends from the 2010 Census at Fuddruckers. I forgot to change the ISO on my pocket camera, so most of my photos didn't turn out very good. This was definitely the best partly because it was candid, but mostly because most of the people stayed still during the long exposure.
My wife commented that she likes the mix of people in this picture. Old and young. Men and women. White and black. Looks like all were having fun. This is great.
I think the man on the right looks like he could be a very interesting person to talk to. (N)

@smithfamily You are right about the man on the right, Doug. I really enjoyed working with him, and had the privilege of working closely with him for about a year. The thing I liked the best about working in the Census office was the diversity of people I worked with. We intentionally hired people who spoke many different languages and there was also a diversity of age, race and education--and practically anything else you can think of. When I posted this photo, I was thinking that it didn't represent the diversity of people very well, but I guess everything is relative. In this group of five people, one speaks Japanese and another speaks Amharic.
