My husband John and his friends from the Mapleton Mens Shed made a seat to commemorate the Shay railway train that used to run up from the coast to Mapleton. This was quite a feat as we live on the edge of a volcano (extinct - I hope) so the grades were steep. The seat is outside the Mapleton Community Library.
