daffodil painting

This is a closeup of one of the elements in an oil painting that hangs in my house. I like the colors and that you can see the paint strokes (real ones, not digitally added ones). I went outside today and took some pics but didn't like any of them so I used this one from inside.

I love the way a real artist can bring out all the colours that are hiding in the shadows. What we think we see isn't all that is there.
