Back to the future

The second April Brimstone female eclosed today as did the first male. Naturally I missed both!
The female has returned to the Alder Buckthorn where the egg she came from was laid April 22nd.
Yes, she really IS there, clever camo, isn't it?

@homeschoolmom I confess I followed her flight otherwise I doubt I’d have found her, the cameo is so very good. Hopefully she will survive winter hibernation and maybe even return to the tree where it all began.

@annepann I assure you she’s there. Look to the centre, left of, and slightly higher than the faded leaf and above the spider thread. There’s a black mark in the centre of the wing just under the shadow line.

Wow, I thought that had to be her, but she blends in so well that you would have trouble finding her if you didn't know she was there.
