Holly Blue lays first brood eggs on Holly, second (now) on Ivy so why is Mrs HB using my Alder Buckthorn as a nursery? I'll go out with steps and a magnifying glass tomorrow but doubt her many minutes of labour will have been productive - but of course I may be wrong!
Have now learnt that my previous knowledge was incomplete, the Buckthorns may be selected as well as several other plants. Definitely out to check tomorrow.
