Fish Nets by jetr

Fish Nets

Someone had neatly laid out their fishnets to dry on the beach the other night. Salmon fishing is in full swing on our coast. We mostly have chum (or dog) salmon this far north vs the king or chinook varieties. They are usually hung to air dry for the winter months and then put into soups and stews. A staple of the subsistence diet.
Very evocative - like the lone figure gazing out to sea.
