I just noticed that the wooden powerline poles in and around my neighbourhood have had the paper notices burned off. This must be something city workers do, but I wonder when (during the night?), how often (regularly?) and by what means (blowtorch?) they do this.
This is the first photo I've noticed to post at an obviously reduced saturation compared to my computer.
I'm currently situated in Victoria, having previously lived in Beijing, Halifax, Chilliwack, Calgary, Vancouver and growing up in Northwestern Ontario. My aim with photography is...
Nice catch! I'm sure hundreds of people have walked past that and not even noticed it, let alone seen it as a good photo op. Wonderful focus on the pole with the blurred background.
I thought it looked like a great wall of dagger handles!! Perhaps it's a team of sprites - the same ones who creep round the house after you've just decorated and make runs in the paint or smudgey finger prints where they shouldn't be.
Wonderful focus. Great shot.
