Great text...the shot tells a story of complicity and love...It makes me think of a picture from the 50's (sort of John Kennedy playing with John John at the Hamptons...)
I have such great memories from playing in the sand with my Dad and now playing in the sand with my kids ~ great moments are experienced out in nature! This is a wonderful capture of such a moment.
Such wise words and true no doubt. As for the pic, I love the vastness of the open space on a almost empty beach, the empty horicont and that little reflection really makes this shot for me. Good eye!
This reminds me so much of holiday photos from my childhood. Maybe it's the B&W, maybe it's the square crop or maybe it's the deserted beach—there would be a gale blowing but we'd still be there making sandcastles. Fav.
When my kids were young my husband worked very long and very hard. In the summer we would rent a cottage by the water, and spend a week on the beach. All those long days of his absence would go away on the beach. They would dig holes and create huge sand sculptures. Dad would bury them so only their heads showed. We would come home with buckets of shells, sand and the occasional crab. It was always a glorious time.
Thanks for the memory trigger. Lovely image, fav.
