Grand Canyon IR No 1

Having converted a DSLR to IR, I am on my learning curve to 'get it'.
Beautiful! Wow!

@dkdaddy0709 You are very kind, thank you. The edit process is a bear.

@daweenie Thank you so much, I tried to get IR results with filters but didn't get much so I went whole hog.

@kali66 Thank you very much, the toy is fun but the edits are giving me fits but I WILL not quit.

Good luck and have fun with the IR . Processing is a challenge for sure but I've come to the conclusion that there is no one right way. What works for one image doesn't for another. It's much more a case of trial and error and trying to steer the image in a direction I like.,for me at least .

now that's different.

Surreal! The clouds almost make it look like it's underwater -- or a large wave coming in. FAV

@domenicododaro Thank you so much, IR and photoshop, yuck! I am now using jpeg instead of raw which seems to be easier.

@jerome Thank you very much, the IR white balance is giving me fits in photoshop but I am not giving in.

@gardencat So very very true. I just need to be patient with myself. :):)

@francoise Thank you, the way IR light behaves is truly fascinating.

@mcsiegle Thank you ever so much for the fav. This journey is fun and frustrating but weird too.

Oh and Happy New Year @joysabin I hope this year is a wonderful one for you with good health and much happiness.

@stephanies Thank you so very much. 2017 is going to be a wild ride here in the states. The IR universe has so many different choices, I've even seen people who like to have an orange tint to their trees. I just like the twisted wood of the Juniper Pines.

@la_photographic My husband and son think that it is bizarre, but then they know my bend towards the unusual.
