I too, photographed the Day Moon, but sitting alone in the sky, it bears no resemblance to this magnificent picture! You nailed it all! "Over-the-moon- beautiful, John!
@yogisue@cejaanderson@deu49097@Weezilou@susale I shot 5 bracket shots for HDR. Used the HDR software to come up with 4 different versions of the HDR shot, 2 of which were very effects-heavy ("Grunge" & "Surreal", if I recall correctly.) I then ran the 4 results back through the HDR software twice, once removing ghosts, one not. Then chose the best (favorite) of the 2. This one is did not have the ghosts removed, but none are clearly visible, anyhow. So the odd colorations is as a result of the 2 effects-heavy HDR brackets merged with the 2 not so.
I think the coloration is reminiscent of cross-processing.
I like it.
