My Take on Harvest Moon
I had included the Moon in my photo from the day before; I figured with the big beautiful Harvest moon on display, lots of people would be posting photos of it. I took a lot of photos of it. But I had to be different.
Each frame is a composite of 4 different shots of the Moon. My Canon PowerShot point-n-shoot doesn't have the lens power to capture a crisp, clear Moon shot. But I can get a lot of light. So...
the left frame is a 4-bracket Merge, run through HDR software, then pushed into surreality with a "Grunge" effect setting.
The right frame is my first attempt to precisely layer different shots into the same photo via different levels of opacity of each layer. A simple Photoshop thing, really, but I have not messed with it before.
Upon review of all of my attempts at a suitably artistic merge, I could not choose between the two, so I present both.
