King’s College has opened up its front lawn again to allow distanced outdoor socialising. It’s been very busy in the warmer weather but it was ‘fresh’ enough this morning to be nice and quiet for my coffee with Juliet. We actually found a nice sheltered spot by the chapel tower but had to relocate after an ‘incident’ with a bird. I may show you the offending tower/bird roost tomorrow. It really does afford a lovely view of King’s Parade and, as it now has security barriers, there are no cars and it’s looking pretty timeless. All sorts of things have happened here from 16th century Protestant reformation to Stephen Hawking’s funeral cortège.
Weather: beautiful to look at
Covid: we can walk on the grass...
Good thing: spring cycling
Walking on the grass - what a treat to return! Wonderful. Lovely to see King’s Parade from this angle. You seem to have missed the snow showers! The brightness looks lovely.
Ooh lovely shops! Never mind the grass I would be hot foot across the grass to the shops! Love the different shapes of those buildings...tall & narrow & black & white!
Very crisp, well captured considering the facades are in the shadow. Those bird incidents are no fun...it happened to me while I was recovering from major lung surgery on the day when I finally, with help, had washed my hair. Yup, nasty.
