The downside of dad’s more Covid-compliant ward is that they only let in one next of kin - and that’s not me! The least we could do was drive my sister down and while she was visiting we had a nice walk along the seafront. The shops ‘inland’ are a bit rundown - not helped at all by the pandemic and loss of Debenhams et al - but there are lots of nice foodie places and the usual English seaside town attractions like sea-themed gardens, bowling greens, playgrounds and attractive walks.
Weather: cloudy
Covid: frustrating but hospitals should probably always have been hotter on infection control
Good thing: promenades
Lovely capture. I understand your visit frustration. I am the only one allowed 'in' to see dad, and not yet into his room! It's belt and braces now, but as you say, not enough done the first time round perhaps, in both hospitals and care homes.
