I had 15 minutes to kill this afternoon before meeting Rebecca for a walk and waited hopefully by the bird feeders for some camera action. The cat decided to lie next to me which rather interfered with proceedings and I found myself a bit obsessed by the black clouds approaching from the west. After consultation with my favourite weather app we delayed by half an hour which proved to be an excellent decision!
Weather: sun and thundery showers
Covid: we can eat indoors
Good thing: a lovely evening
This is a beautiful capture, but like Alison, I'm not a fan. We have far too many of them in our garden and they poo everywhere, especially on our patio. I'll be watching for them on our gooseberry bush this year, as it's the first year we should get some fruit - I hadn't thought of them scoffing the berries before we get to them!
If they are anything like our pigeons, they don’t seem bright enough to care about anything. I have to be careful when mowing the lawn as they don’t seem perturbed in the least.
@fueast@jamibann@bkp the local sparrow hawk seems to have taken its eye off the ball as the pigeons are multiplying. These are getting fat on my goldfinch food but they made themselves useful on that branch briefly!
Love these two. I'm going to blow up with complete frustration if this weather doesn't improve, I'm looking at racing, grey rain clouds as I write. And the wind's up again.
