I'm constantly amazed by the diverse and talented people I meet dog-walking. One of my favourites is Anna who is a Russian illustrator of children's books and who was still cheerfully skipping around the park with her dog on Christmas Eve, despite having a baby due on Christmas Day. A dull day with freezing, blustery rain was considerably cheered up by the news that little Sofia finally arrived on Sunday .... and I never need much encouragement to get my knitting needles out....
