Snowdrop time by judithg

Snowdrop time

After a very windy walk I left my friends in the teashop and nipped into Anglesey Abbey's winter garden. Since my last visit a couple of weeks ago the snowdrops have gone mad and there are carpets of them between the dogwoods. Being so low to the ground makes life difficult as I couldn't look through the viewfinder but these pics give the general idea.
Really strange this Judith..I've just been photographing snowdrops in our garden...not as good as yours though !

What software do you use to make 3 images into one ?

@phil_howcroft Thanks - I've got about 50 rubbish ones and really struggled with the flowers being over-exposed! I used the collage part of Picnik (www.picnik.com)

@sosaboe @clairelizteuber @roemayo @flamez Thanks - spring is definitely a-coming but a peak of sun would be nice - it's wild here today.

Lovely! Have only managed to see a few sad straggling snowdrops in London gardens - no abundant bunches like these - need to go out on nice walk to find some ...

Leaves me yearning to stroll the garden, go for a walk and sip tea with you!! Beautiful shots - does this mean spring is really coming???

@janellemc That would be nice - do you have too much snow and not enough snowdrops?
February 5th, 2011
@mole That's what the gardener said but I'd have had to lie on the path to sniff them!

oh, so beautiful :)

Yes, Judith....not enough snowdrops! Nary a crocus yet! But not enough snow lately either. I live in the US, in Utah, and we're having an unusually small amount of snow in the valleys this year. I'm ready for a blanket of white to cover everything while we're waiting for spring to arrive!

@janellemc Hope you get one thing or the other soon or it's a long slow time of year! We had a little frost this morning to brighten up the general drabness - it's nice to see the flowers come through but the skies are just white cloud 9 days out of 10 and the flowers would look so much nicer against a blue sky!
