I haven't had much chance to take photos today but there was a nice one man band thing outside Boots. He was playing music with a bow (not sure how it worked exactly) and puppeteering at the same time. I was rather taken with his farmyard scene. Off to 'music on the river' at King's tomorrow so should have more choice of pics.
Oh, this is a fabulous shot, Judith! Love how you captured the puppeteer/musician's hand operating the puppet violinist ~ while I'm assuming playing the violin himself with his other hand (?). Very cool.
@peggysirk He was using a bow with the other hand but the music seemed to be too complicated for what he was doing - I couldn't work out if it was just for show or if he was actually doing something!
This is very unusual Judith , pretty clever to do puppeteering & play the the violin ..a bit like patting your head while at the same time rubbing your tummy !! I hope he was getting a good reward ! Great shot ¬
@phil_howcroft There was also the obligatory curled up asleep real dog but if I included him you couldn't see the 'theatre' properly - obviously if there had been a bike the theatre would have had to fight for a corner. Funny thing was the puppeteer was the spot of Hugh Fearnley- Wittingstall...
