I'm expecting teasel to make a regular appearance once winter draws in but I couldn't resist this lovely young version in its purple prime. I actually shot it on my walk yesterday but I took Nigel's dad on the same walk this morning so I'm allowing it in for today. I must admit I quite enjoyed having a day off from photos as I've been doing lots of Governor stuff again. I cross processed this photo and I think it's got a sort of Scottish feel.
Thanks so much for all your lovely comments on my tower shots.
Beautiful love the colours, I have been noticing them along the roadsides. Along Twenypence Road by the river there is alot of these growing all in one patch, I will have to see if I can get a shot of those! fav'd
This is a gorgeous photo of the teasel. I found it interesting that teasel is often placed on the antiques at the National Trust properties so the tourists don't sit down. Good idea! You definitely should do this trip. Your boys may enjoy being dive bombed by the terns. It is really something to stand among them all calling, flying in and out, coming right at your head, being right next to you on the paths. Really incredible. The boat trip among the Farnes is also a delight. We saw seals up close as well. The boys would get bored after a couple of days if they are typical but if you planned for a weekend I could tell you what to do to keep them going for two or three days. I know you would love it.
Oh wow! It's Maggie's spiky foo foo from last week! @maggie2 Incidentally, there is a whole field of these on the path to the Goddess temple that I was going to tell you about, M! This is beautiful, Judith!
Definitely looks Scottish.
And looks very nice too.
