We stayed in a lovely cottage on the River Coquet in Warkworth and this little boat was calling out for a photo. The river is tidal and I had to keep going back to catch the boat in the water rather than beached on it's own little gravel island. I have some other shots I might post including one with one of the MANY herons that frequent the river banks - oh for a very expensive zoom lens!!!
Lovely mysterious quality to this shot. That sounds like a fab break - would love to visit that part of the country (they've got top folk music you know!)

@roachling Yes we did - they are fabulous. Victoria Cottage last time as we knew there were 4 of us going and Sunny Cottage this time as we assumed 2 + dog but then Rachel came too. Beautiful bedrooms but a bit short of room downstairs as it was too hot for the sun room - probably not often a problem! They are all beautifully kitted out though - I'll check out Hotspur - be interested to know if you like it as it will be two next time I expect.
