Phew - home after the holidays and the washing machine is on! I was hoping to keep up with 365 using Nigel's netbook but I rapidly discovered that I couldn't see the pics properly so I decided to wait till I got home. I'm going to post two or three pics a day until I've caught up. I have lots of family shots but not many artistic ones - it took me a while to get 'into' it on holiday despite beautiful surroundings. Half way through Adam said. 'Blimey mum in Cambridge you take postboxes, here there has to be a castle!!'
We stopped off in Durham on the way home at the request of the boys (Adam and his friend) as they liked it when we called in on the way up. Like Cambridge it's a famous university town with colleges - unlike Cambridge it has hills (big ones!). I was basking in the sunshine, enjoying a very nice coffee and these rooftops at 10am this morning but unfortunately the A1 was beckoning.... I promise to catch up with everybody's pics over the next few days.
great rooftop scene - couldn't work out whether you were back or not...looks like you are now! Look forward to the rest of your shots from your time away...
Duham! always wanted to go there since Bill Bryson told me to skip York and see the cathedral in Durham instead! Hope it is as impressive as he says.
Great picture of the rooftops anyway!
ahh Judith, arty and very lovely, great composition, has to be a +FAV....I wonder if it will work in B/W or sepia ...nothing in the frame to date the image as 21st century
no Cathedral shot eh?
Great picture of the rooftops anyway!
