I took Monty blackberrying today - a poor show as the hedgerows have been savaged by one of those vicious machines but I have made a few jars of bramble jelly. We got drenched by a passing shower which picked up the wind and dropped the temperature by about 10 C - we weren't impressed. I had packed my camera out of the rain but had to get it out again for these backlit teasel. I'm frustrated - I'm not happy with the cropping but when I re-did that I couldn't get the processing the same - serves me right for doing random things with Picnik.
Great Bokeh here Judith!! A lovely shot...you have caught every little detail ... cobwebs, little stem hairs & the angle is perfect, well done !!! I think you should be well satisfied with that !! I love teasels, they are so quirky !
@sparkle No he's rubbish!! Sat in the middle of a muddy field & woofed for England! I did worry that he might jump up at me as I teetered over the ditch & then I might still be there in the brambles …
I think it's perfect and I'm happy to see others feel the same - I already see you on the pp again ;). Your day sounds like a typical Cambridge day to me ;). I told my mum about our walks today and was reminded again how much I miss them :(.
love the backlight - we've got blackberries everywhere, we seem to be the only people picking them and Michaelmas Day is next Thursday (when the devil casts his cloak over them and makes them nasty by folklore)
@ottery09 I had to supplement with a few from the freezer. Last year I could have made a shop full! Worth rummaging for berries though - it's delicious.
