Nigel preferred this shot - but for me the sky wasn't dark enough..but I'll let him have a slot in my Extras album as I like the silhouettes of the people! If it wins out over my choice I'll swap them round! OK - he wins - I've swapped them!
I'm with Nigel Judith. Love this one for fhe lovely silhouettes of the people. I used to love Guy Fawkes Night but because of our dry November weather it was too dangerous firewise and made illegal. Only get to see fireworks at official functions set up like this one of yours as a city celebration.
@ubobohobo It was perfect conditions here for once - very little wind, a scattering of rain an hour before the event to dampen everything down but dry for the fireworks and pretty mild conditions - generally at least one of those things is missing and often all three!!
This is a cool one too! I love the very strong silhouettes against the clear sky, and the dotted lines effect. I have no preference, they are very different. I prefer the green one for the fireworks itself, and I like this one for the originality of the scene
I'm sorry to admit it - I'm with Nigel on that one - the shape of the fireworks is more spectacular and I'm a red kind of girl ;). But as you took both, you win anyway ;)!
@happypat Flipping heck Pat - I thought for a minute I got a vote - I can see I'm going to have to swap them over and eat humble pie! @jannaellen That's it - friendship over ;0)
I absolutely love this.............I can hear and see all the fireworks from my window but I have stayed indoors as much to do .....so your photos is a treat and an amazing one at that...FAV....
Haven't seen the other one yet but this is great, I love the silhoutted people too! I was glued behind my camera tonight trying to photograph the fireworks, didn't find it easy at all!
really great shot Judith - LOL to Nigel winning! I'm really annoyed there were no fireworks round here (except for a few fizbangs in a garden across the way) so I have missed my opportunity once more to try this out...New Year in London it has to be!!
