And how I'd like a dry afternoon for the hockey? Well here you go! I have better, clearer more actiony shots but this sums up the weather. I have one of Adam's friend where you can see the downpour even better but it's easier to post my own child. It was freezing at this point although my friend and I had a good system going with her holding a big golf umbrella overhead and me holding a smaller umbrella over knees and bags. Anyway the Cambridgeshire boys won both games today and finished second overall in the tournament which meant a nice medal.
@judithg Yes, slight mix up with baby sitting duties.
Bless her, she even did a 'little' bow at the end. We tell her we are going to karate, I think, by what she said today she thought it was a place!!
@fueast Well as it happens I persuaded Nigel that, purely in my concern for his health, he should take the dog out before his 11 hour trip to San Diego. But that was in sunny Cambridge - this was Norwich and as we pulled into the car park the black clouds piled up. Until that point I was feeling foolish about packing the wellies and changes of clothes. Apparently we did get one deluge in Cambridge but it was sunny again when I got home.
Well done Adam & team, lovely to have a medal to take home at the end to remind them when they are old !!! You mothers cheering on the side lines in boots & sweaters deserve medals too !!! I am so glad I don't have to do that anymore !!!
@happypat We were quite restrained - we weren't too close to the pitch because the side rails and barriers were a bit too high for us! The girls' supporters were going mad though - the last game was the decider for the tournament 1st & 2nd places starting 3:0 moving to 3:3 then 3:4, 4:4 and finishing 6:4 to Cambs! Our boys needed to win for 2nd place and won 5:0 in the end so we relaxed and huddled!
cool shot - like the movement. You should have had the match in Sawbridgeworth, we had no rain here at all for the entire day! though it was cold!! Glad he won!
Brrr...I just walked a dog in the pouring rain for half an hour to burn off some of his steam, and even with exercise and my winter coat and a rain jacket I was chilled. He was still panting. But poor you sitting out a game!! Thank goodness they won!
