Passing the time

Just filling in a gap from my NY week. Not entirely happy with this - I didn't crop so I could keep the clock in but I think maybe it's a mistake.
lots to see, but I can see why you're wondering about the crop

I quite like the people inthe background under the clock and the contrast of light! Personal taste I guess!

The clock certainly fits the title, I like it left in the picture

I agree with Melanie, I like the people in the background who look busy and the clock is making a silent statement about people's use of time.

I like the clock it takes your eye down the street. New York has tall buildings so entirely in keeping. Love the b/w too. Wish we had seats like this tucked into the side of the street!

Glad you kept the clock, even at the edge of the frame.

the clock works for me Juditth

I think the clock gives perspective to the time of day. it draws your eye to that part of the picture. The people sitting are nicely contrasted.

I like the clock in it. Great street shot.

I like it, it shows the people in the harsh sunlight with time ticking by and the man in the shade taking it easy with no thought on time.

Ditto Bernadette. I really light the lighting contrasts

Fabulous street shot! Love the clock in the composition.

It's balances the interest nicely the way that you have done it. I agree though for a better 'tonal range' you could have cropped out the bright light. It's fun here though on 365 :-)

I like the clock...LUNCH time!!!

I like the picture as it is, I like that you can see other people sitting on benches further up the street and others stood up chatting. It all makes a relaxed scene, not what I thought NY was like.

Quite like the idea there are people just sitting around fiddling with phones, people watching and enjoying the sunshine...Cropping it would change the mood entirely...

I like it as is, although i think a crop would work too =)

Well I like it. With that caption you automatically look at the clock and then diagonally through all those shades to the guy who is doing the 'passing'. Love it.
