This is the same location as my ladybird shot from a couple of weeks ago. They've been at it with a strimmer so it was difficult to get to the wildlife and I messed about for a while getting the snail in focus. And then when I got home I preferred the drops in focus and the snail blurry. Huge thanks for the lovely response to my NY pics - I'll have to go back!! And apologies if I haven't got to your photos yet - I'm working my way through. Off to book club tonight though so I'll be hopeless again :0(
Your title, June, says it all... Makes you wonder, doesn't it? It's the same here, so cold and rainy, just depressing. But I guess the little snail in your picture enjoys it a lot.
@fueast Good question - all of mine have tiny slugs making inroads. I used to use straw (before I got strawberries!) - maybe that works...or some good dry anti-slug weather.
@judithg Well we had another short walk before dinner - say 11 mins this time - all very frustrating as all Jinks would do was cock his leg, shake vigrously and try to 'get away' from the rain. It finally stopped raining later and Ray took him out for a proper walk about 9.30 (I would object to spending money on vet's bills for a dog with constipation!!!)
Hi Judith - just took the tour of your NYC pics and enjoyed them very much. You made a wonderful connection with the quirky street vibe here that is uniquely NYC. Sorry we didn't get chance to meet up but sounds like you covered an extraordinary amount of ground.
@michaelelliott Yes we did get around - not many museums/galleries undone. We didn't do the Empire State as I like to leave a reason to return! Next time I'll come unencumbered by teenager and will be chasing you for a New York masterclass!!
