Tears at Wimbledon ... poor old Andy but it was a good fight at least. And it was fun to watch it with @sparkle and if she didn't manage to telekinetically get those balls into the right places it wasn't for want of trying!!
Love this!
And yes it was a pity Andy didn't win.....we Scots like to support our own!
But he was very gracious at the end and seeing the appreciative human being was very positive. I'm sure there will be another opportunity and he knows how much it means to all his supporters!
yeah, it was a bittersweet match. I was only allowed to watch parts, because Becky couldn't cope when he was losing! So I saw parts of it, and parts of some random kids' movie on channel 5!
great shot seeing as it was SO wet when we went out! You never told me i was meant to be switching on the telekinetics...der, I had them off most of the game - it's my fault he lost :o(
Glorious sparkling & jeweled grass, lovely ! I too was sorry Andy lost but he played well & think did a great amount of PR for himself at the end showing he is human & I'm sure everyone warmed to him immensely. I think he nearly brought the whole of the audience to tears too.
@happypat I was glad to see Judy lose it - she'd have to be really abnormal not to when every other mother in the country was reaching for the tissues for a quick eye dab!!
Andy said, "I'm getting closer"...and I believe him. He gave a good match against the best. Sweet shot depicting Andy's emotions. I was totally touched by his tears.
I think half of Britiain was an emotional wreck by the end of the match.....love your shot here to depict the day. Never mind, there's always the Olympics.............. :-)
Excellent image. Always think of tennis as an individual versus another individual rather than a national thing so though I've got nothing against Murray I've always liked Federer so I was quite happy he won.

I'm afraid the tennis passed me by...
