Proper street art by judithg

Proper street art

As in street being converted into art. Not happy with the exposure but I wanted to get the detail of the brilliant drawing. He was completely focussed and ignored my rude snapping. Taken yesterday when it was dull - glorious weather today - shame @fueast had to go home! Sorry for erratic commenting - a few extra jobs to do ahead of Rachel's departure on Saturday :0(
Looks a fabulous drawing! Where is Rachel off to? Hope that you are both excited and looking forward to the whole Uni thing! From what I hear it's great!

This is fab! Looks like a great sketch too xx

I have to say that my first reaction is that I love the hat. Can feel the concentration.

Oh I was too slow... This is great - could be you in a future endeavour. It is a shame I had to go home. I had loooaads of work to do today and a really boring sandwich for lunch.

@ruthmouch She's off to Birmingham and she can't wait. I'll be traumatised, she won't be, that's the way it should be!

I love his (?) expression.and you even got bicycles! No prob re commenting.

@quietpurplehaze It's nice isn't it?!

@fueast I took Rachel to lunch - she said I had to bond (seems a bit late after 18 years!) - she refused to go anywhere vaguely interesting but it was better for the waistline - the 'big lunch small dinner' didn't exactly work out yesterday.

@judithg Yes fabulous, maybe for next summer?!!
September 13th, 2012
@judithg How come only you had to bond? Doesn't she have to too?
My dinner yesterday was weird. Coffee, a toffee waffle and some veggie sushi...
September 13th, 2012
@jgpittenger He's got a bicycle in his drawing - I love it!!
September 13th, 2012
@judithg Oh so glad she's happy about it.....I understand how you feel as I've done it so often,.....we are finally much improved!
September 13th, 2012
i really like it and how it shows the drawing!
September 13th, 2012
Good title! Love the concentration.
September 13th, 2012
Love the concentration and the sketch looks amazing. Not sure about the hat - maybe a lady?
September 13th, 2012
very interesting, and the sketch looks good, are they for sale or is he/she a mature art student?
September 13th, 2012
This looks a very odd hat for a man to wear but there again he is an artist so anything goes!!!! the sketch looks interesting & I am rather fond of pencil drawing. Rachel must be very excited & you apprehensive, always worse for the ones left behind, I hope she has a wonderful university life.

Great street shot! I have been haz with commenting too. I don't think I'll ever be spending as much time as I used to on it. :-)
September 13th, 2012
Grrrr that was supposed to be lax not haz. LOL
September 13th, 2012
Love it. I like that you can see the detail of his drawing.
September 13th, 2012
Glad you didn't put him off his drawing! Looks fab :) Good Luck to Rachael this weekend and to you too :)
September 13th, 2012
@busylady @cookie123 Definitely a man - viewed large the hat looks at least unisex! I don't know who he is but I'd buy his drawing.
September 13th, 2012
Wonderful capture, quite a character!
September 13th, 2012
It looks as though this sketch is going to be a masterpiece. I hope Rachael enjoys uni she will be quite near us
September 13th, 2012
What lovely detail in the drawing. It looks like a pencil in his hand but pen and ink on the page. How brave of you to take his picture!
September 13th, 2012
Marvelous street shot of the artist totally engaged in what appears to be a very detailed and intricate drawing. The hat is wonderful. And I see that bikes must be everywhere in Cambridge ~ perfect. Good luck with all the final preparations for Rachel's departure. All will be well, mom.

September 13th, 2012
some serious concentration caught here.....
September 13th, 2012
What an excellent drawing and I love the look on his face that you managed to capture!
September 13th, 2012
Inspite of the dull day you've captured beautifully the intensity of his focus on the task. Love how we can also catch a little of the detail in the sketch.
September 14th, 2012
Love this photo, the concentration, the obliviousness to everything but the task at hand.
September 14th, 2012
Wonderful shot. The artwork looks incredible.
September 14th, 2012
He looks to be quite a draughtsman
September 14th, 2012

He's really talented! I really like watching street artists and there are so many in Cambridge. Well, there are so many nice things to draw, so no wonder ;).
