Well what can I say?! How surprised and delighted am I to find my rotary drier at number 2?! I'm not sure it's correct - there are some amazing shots up there. Glad to see @grizzlysghost at Number 1 as he has been rocking this week. Well I did take some shots today but I'm posting this one from Wednesday for my friends who are struggling with motivation at the moment. My advice is to go with the flow - have a couple of nights off completely and remember that it's about enjoying photography not letting it rule your life. I've found it hard work this second year to keep motivation alive but for some reason I like October! I'm assisted by the influx of students into town - they get under your feet but it's nice to have lots of enthusiastic youngsters around - posters for events are going up all over town and there's lots of vim and vigour in the air.
I've gone with a bit of poetry for this shot:
'To seek a dream? Just to pole a boat upstream,
To where the green grass is more verdant;
Or to have the boat fully loaded with starlight,
And sing aloud in the splendor of starlight.'
Translated from the Chinese poet Xu Zhimo who studied in Cambridge in the early 1920's and whose work is absolutely adored by our Chinese visitors.

PS - The owner of this punt was sitting further back doing his books - while I was sneaking a photo of him he looked straight at me and smiled - it was a bit weird but in a good way!!
I had to go and see this photo and was pleased I did! So many of the people I follow are on this top 20! I'm in great company! Love punts and this shot is good with your crop!
You do inspire me Judith...I can feel the zing coming back already!!!!! Lovely punts , they bring to mind the relaxing trailing of hand in water & as for|G&T I have had two tonight already. Love this whole concept & the bright cushions & especially the number carved in the boats side.

I need this timely advice today. Thank you for the reminder. AND thank you for your idea from October 1. I've collected 18 images of Keecia and put them together in a lovely collage to celebrate her 18th birthday. It looks wonderful and is filled with memories of the past 18 years. I love it. Thanks for your model.
Gotta fav this - looove the message! Love your narration for the photo, too. I had so much trouble staying motivated this year as I wasn't travelling like last year but October does seem easier. Maybe it's the beautiful colours in the air or me having more time now or the anticipation of something wonderful to come ;). I was so happy to see you on Nr. 2 - totally deserved, of course!
