On the run

Sometime soon they will all be 18 and I'll be able to leave the heads on! My best shot from today's tournament in the sense that the legs had motion blur but the body and head were sharp - promise.... It's been a crazy day with the tournament going on till mid afternoon and then a swift round of laundry ready for an early run to the airport tomorrow to drop Adam and his friends for a 4 day training trip to Alicante. Alright for some. It's been a dark sort of a day and a bit of Spanish sunshine would be very welcome especially if I didn't have to run around for 6 hours a day. Still I can look forward to some wet walks in Cambridge this week instead.
Three good things:
1. The dryer which has been churning Adam's astros around very noisily has finally stopped.
2. We have a dog who rushes to stick his head out of the cat flap every time the cat goes in or out of it - we are safe from invading cats :0/
3. I am not sharing a room with Adam's sports socks - hope his room mate is ready...
Well, the feet tell the story here. Marvelous shot of the action taking place on the field. Sounds like a whirlwind kind of day. Hope Adam has a safe and fun trip..and you enjoy your four day break from laundry. :)

@peggysirk Shame they won't be doing it over there. Mind you he has a bag full of artificial sweat-wicking fibres so at least there won't be any ironing.

Oh slow down please... Your three good things are a bit odd today if you don't mind me saying so. Sounds like you've been too busy! Anyway, peace will decend before Downton I'm sure. Picture of dogs head in cat flap please.

Your commentary brings back memories of those taxiservice/washerwoman days fitted in around work...and I love those skinny legs of youth all in step.

@fueast I have so tried but he is one swift dog - we come through the gate and the nose appears just long enough to check it's us then he's off to the patio doors to wait for us to come in. I need to get him when there's a foreign cat out there - then he virtually gets his shoulders through and I have to smack his bottom to get him to come back in before he breaks it. Off to the vet again tomorrow - I suspect sore ears again:0( Come on Downton - traumatised last week!

Love the movement and legs here, and especially enjoyed the diary!

Love those running legs! Could you not show their heads because they were under 18?

@maggiemae I imagine it would be ok but I help out at the hockey club and although photos can be taken I think they are probably supposed to be for private use rather than posting on the Internet.

Love the sense of action.

I didn't realise that 18 was the required criteria for showing children's faces. You've really captured the action here.

you have to get a shot of the dog's head in the cat flap!!! nice b/w shot and you dont need the heads as the crop is nice.

nice monochrome judith, i always like an 'action sports shot'

@busylady I don't know if it is but we ask for photo permission for the juniors so that's what I'm going with. We've just had a big discussion about of with Governors - in the old days of prints things were much more straightforward. Don't want to ban photos but not everybody wants them all over the Internet and some have good reasons not to.

Adam must be excited about his trip, what opportunities these young ones get these days! You will be very quiet at home without either of your children!!!! Love the running legs, sounds as though you have been running too today!!!! Love the bit about Monty in the cat flap!!!!

I was wondering why you'd cropped it like this:-) But I like it!
October 21st, 2012
Well, the headless crop works well to show the teamwork aspect. How fun that laundry will be when it comes back.

Wonderful choice of cropping - makes the shot all the more exciting! I love your good nr. 3 ;)!
