I know - desperate shot! But I have had no time today to go searching and the dreary weather meant searching was necessary. I was out this morning interviewing, came home and squeezed in some of my proper job (the in tray is bulging). Then I walked Monty round to the groomers, made him a pre-Christmas appointment and heard about their hurricane afflicted trip to NY. Such a shame as they work so hard but they said the worst part was seeing people's homes affected so badly. So I returned in time to tackle the downstairs cleaning - (I should have kept my cleaner!) - and dash out half way through to get Adam who was helping at the school Christmas craft fair. I had to laugh as they remarked on his prodigious sales ability (guess the name of the lion) because this is the boy who used to raid his big sister's bedroom and sell her toys back to her. At a fundraiser at the local shopping centre he was relentless and businessmen striding across the concourse, too important to donate, would eventually look down to find the thing strapped to their leg was a seven year old boy with a collection tin. He collected a fortune. Anyway this is the little dress I've made for young Rosie. The £1.99 fairy wings turned out to be £1.99 sized - I must learn to check sizes!
Three good things:
1. The house is clean.
2. Adam is out most of tomorrow so it should stay clean despite his best efforts already.
3. Rachel is home tomorrow and I can't wait!!
Rachel home from Uni'.......that first term at uni' really changes them a bit...they come back all independent and grown up :) .....i like the pinks here Judith, nice wings too.
You must do a Monty pic after he's had his Christmas trim :)
@fueast Back end of a donkey? Widow Twanky? I've just been given a fantastic pumpkin so I'd go in my cleaning clothes, take the pumpkin and the cat's mouse toy and go as the 'before' Cinderella. Actually back end of a donkey doesn't take much effort grey trousers and a tail...I'm all for minimum effort!
@phil_howcroft I know - I'm expecting her to be very tired and grumpy and a bit mixed up about whether she wants to be home or not!! She's really ready for home for a bit now but hopefully she will get fed up and be ready to go back in Jan - I don't want her to suddenly be homesick. I've got Monty a new Santa hat....
@judithg Jane and I were chatting this week about when our girls went away to uni for the first time.......my youngest daughter said when we all dropped kirsty off at uni' we all drove back to Nottingham in silence !!!! Cannot wait to see Monty in his hat...my wife has bought Ruby something festive, but she has hidden it until Christmas !
Well done - the dress looks gorgeous, and I'm sure Rosie will be delighted. I nearly missed it as we were in Cambridge all day then out singing in the evening.
