A nice bit of yarn bombing on Mitcham's Corner. If anywhere ever needed bombing with something it's Mitcham's Corner. This is on my cycle route to town and our walking route to Jesus Green (I could let Monty off his lead here and know that he'd be waiting for me quarter of a mile away at the bottom of the park steps - if he hadn't been run over en route) and is usually populated by several of the local winos, spilling out from a nearby hostel. They seem to have been thrown somewhat by the knitted trees etc and nobody was there. I've added a bit of the new PicMonkey sunshine in the absence of our own - possibly ruining the shot....
Three good things:
1. Adam's friend staying who eats anything you give him including vegetables.
2. Nigel's dad here on the way to Spain (via Stansted!) so Monty had an extra long, fast walk and is very tired.
3. The dentist thinks he's fixed my über-sensitive tooth but it will take a couple of days to kick in.
Love your story today!!!!!! I'm chuckling away....this yarn bombing is quite new to me!!! Possibly good that it has scared away the winos...Very good idea to add Picmonkey sunshine- I believe you are in very dire need of it and yes love people who everything including vegetables!!!!
delightful! I appreciate the sunny add... great tones and detail. We have these knit projects scattered around Long Beach, but I have to say they aren't as well done :)
Cheerful colours and love the picmonkey sun shine - A bit sad that we are having to create sunshine but hey ho. As my daughter told me tonight "You cant stop the waves but you can learn to surf" I guess that's what you have done.
What is this...knitted bike racks, can't be & who would knit covers for bike racks...unbelievable, as old what's his name used to say! Love your crop & story & lucky Monty!
Love this knitted thing going on in your area! Hope it catches on down here. Perhaps you have bored knitting nanas up there. I could think of a few things that could be brightened up with some yarn bombing.
Please knitted trees tomorrow? what an amazing fantasy world you have spinning around you......just love this, why am i wasting my time knitting a baby blanket for goodness knows who? should have been a bike!!
I enjoy seeing yarn bombing photos. I posted some pictures of trees with yarn bombing. It was the first I had ever seen. I mistakenly called them, "sweaters on trees." Haha. Great picture.
I haven't seen a genuine yarn-bombing, but an arboretum had an artist or group wrap a few trees and it was gorgeous.
